Pagan: Beyond the Palisades

Beyond the Palisades is the expansion for the two-player game Pagan: Fate of Roanoke. Contains 4 scenarios, 9 new villagers, 30 Gloom tokens and 2 complete card decks (= 50 cards for each player).

Beyond the Palisades introduces two new mechanics: Gloom and Cleanse.

Gloom is a new resource that benefits the Witch player while in play. It symbolizes the symbiotic witch's relationship with the grounds.

Gloom comes into play by playing Gloom cards and can be reduced or expanded during a game. Some cards can even break the natural boundaries of gloom on the cards.

With enough effort and focus, it is possible to cleanse the gloom that is invading the village. The cleansing of a card is completed by removing every last bit of gloom. Once a card has been cleaned, it is discarded.
