Put on a show

In the card game Scout you compete with your circus company to put on the best shows. Occasionally you spy on the neighbors and scout their talents for yourself.

The cards of the game Scout have a number both on the top and bottom. Once all the cards have been distributed among the players, you may look at them. You may choose the orientation of your hand (such as dealt or flip the entire hand). It is important that you do not change the order of the cards.

When it's your turn, you can:

1) put on a show
You discard one or more cards. The players to your left must now either discard a higher card or a set consisting of several cards.

Here's an example of a turn:
The first player puts on a show and places a card with the number 2.
The player to his left can now discard a higher card, either a set consisting of at least 2 of the same cards, or a set consisting of consecutive cards.
When you put on a show, you get the card(s) you outmatched.
Note that all cards you discard must be next to each other in your hand!

2) scout
You can scout a card from the previous player's show. Take the card and put it in a place of your choice in your hand. You get a Scout token.

3) scout & show
Take one of the cards that the previous player has discarded and discard it together with cards from your hand. You get a Scout token.

The round ends when all of a player's cards are used up or when one player returns after all the other players have scouted.

You get points for all cards and scout chips won. Any cards left in your hand are penalty points. The player with the most points wins the Scout card game.
