Takamachi

Observe and respond quickly

Takamachi is a dice game for two to four players. You win the game by looking closely and reacting quickly.

The Takamachi game contains 12 dice (with shapes and colors) and a 10-second sand timer.

How to play Takamachi:
- Distribute the dice among the players.
- Everyone rolls the dice at the same time.
- Try to be the first to see which color or shape is most present. Say this out loud and turn the hourglass over.
- The other players now have 10 seconds to look for a possible higher combination.
- The player who got it right puts a die aside.
The first player to run out of dice wins the Takamachi game!

In the exceptional situation that the dice show the same shape and color, the rules of the game change. This situation is called Takamachi. The player who yells “Takamachi” first wins the round.
