Strategic roll and write game
Three Sisters is a strategic roll and write game about planting and harvesting crops.
Three Sisters is named after an agricultural technique in which three different crops (in this case pumpkins, corn and beans) are planted close together. Corn provides a lattice for the beans to climb. The beans bring nitrogen from the air into the soil. The pumpkin provides a natural mulch ground cover to reduce weeds and keep pests away.
In the game Three Sisters, each player has a sheet with several areas:
- the garden (divided into numbered zones),
- the apiary,
- compost,
- perennials,
- goods,
- fruits,
- the shed (filled with tools and skills).
You choose actions via the dice. You indicate this on your sheet. By harvesting goods and progressing on the tracks, you earn bonus actions and points.
After eight rounds, you score points for harvested crops, for perennials, for the apiary, for fruits and for items in the barn. The player with the most points wins the game!
The roll and write game Three Sisters includes a solo mode where you try to beat your own score against an "opponent" who rolls dice and blocks parts on your sheet.
